Don't be fooled, there is a reason that realtor's commissions are what they are. Marketing your home is not an easy task but you can have a headstart. You may ask, "Is it worth it?" The site is hosted by Godaddy and it is free on a monthly basis, there was only a small registration fee per year. You can upgrade the site for I think about $4 per month to increase your number of pages and number of e-mail addresses but it is not necessary. I would recommend spending $20 per month for a service that increases your standings with the search engines but outside of that you are up and running. I would advise listing on MLS both for local exposure to realtors and for some valuable interenet advertising that is not available otherwise.
